Adam Pickering is International Policy Manager for Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) – a leading international that seeks to create an enabling environment for the development of civil society through the provision of philanthropy advice and services. Adam is responsible for developing global policy positions for CAF and writes and speaks widely on global trends in philanthropy and non-profit law.
Adam is currently leading the Future World Giving project, which seeks to create a policy framework that will help governments seize the potential for rapidly growing middle class populations to engage in philanthropy. Prior to joining CAF Adam has had a number of policy roles for UK non-profits and think-tanks including the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and the Centre for Public Scrutiny (CfPS). Adam also spent a year working for a large non-profit in India.
Rhodri is Head of the Giving Thought programme at CAF. He joined CAF in 2010 and is responsible for formulating and communicating CAF’s policy positions on a wide range of topics including philanthropy, tax reliefs for giving, social investment and CSR/CCI.
Prior to CAF Rhodri spent 2 years as a Research Fellow at the think-tank Policy Exchange, where he authored a number of reports on philanthropy, the voluntary sector and public service reform. Rhodri took a year to put some of these ideas into practice while volunteering overseas, before joining CAF.
